I am Connected,  WEEK 61, May 10, 2007

Hola friend,

My deepest desire is to maintain a connection with myself and Spirit as often as possible.   When I revert back to childhood behaviors...sleepwalk through my experiences...I observe myself and lovingly bring myself back to the here and now.

As I adjust to my mom living with us, I find myself unconscious more often.  It is as if I am being shown how I coped with stress as a child.

What is your deepest longing regarding your connection to yourself...Spirit...and your mother?  Are you willing to lovingly notice if you revert back to a childhood coping strategy during this holiday?

I am Connected,  WEEK 60, May 3, 2007

Hola friend,

As I observe my behavior of eating sweets when I am stressed, I notice that I want to stuff down unwanted feelings.   I then ask:  how can I nurture myself positively and create safety to feel my feelings?

My observer loves me unconditionally and invites me to align with Spirit.  It whispers alternative behaviors that support my journey toward consciousness.

Do you notice a difference in how you feel when you sleep walk through your experiences as oppose to being conscious and aligned with Spirit?

I am Connected,  WEEK 59, April 26, 2007

Hola friend,

As I write to you, the sun is shining through my office window and I am as happy as a clam.  Today...this moment...life is wonderful and I want to bottle up this feeling, so when things "appear" not so wonderful I can tap into this experience.

What happens when your observer watches with compassion a behavior that you want to change? Would this process prevent you from responding to stress with a knee-jerk reaction?

Many of our automatic responses to life cause us pain.  When we observe ourselves doing a behavior, we become conscious...connected to Spirit.  When we are connected to Spirit, those knee-jerk reactions fall away.

I am Connected,  WEEK 58, April 19, 2007

Hola friend,

As we acknowledge that we are Spirit, we may become aware that we have been resisting and denying our True Nature.  This contrast may result in certain behaviors, i.e.  alcohol/drug abuse, over/under eating, rage, or depression.

When we become aware of how we self-sabotage, we can observe ourselves with compassion and love.  By stepping back and watching our resistance, we take one step forward in higher consciousness.

This week are you willing to invite your observer self to lovingly watch a behavior you would like to change?

I am Connected,  WEEK 57, April 12, 2007

Hola friend,

How was it to take time last week to acknowledge to yourself that you are an expression of Spirit?  I practiced each day by looking at the mirror and stating..."I AM Spirit.  Then, I listened with curiosity to all the voices in my head telling me the opposite.

After last week's e-zine, Kit wrote the following:  "The walls we build around ourselves as protection take different forms but they have the same effect".  Our childhood beliefs become the walls that keep us from the truth that we are Spirit!

How would your life be different, if you embraced the above truth, which many masters have shared with us in one form or another?  Would you treat others and yourself differently if your consciousness integrated this truth?

The power is you and the moment is now,   Zulma

I am Connected,  WEEK 56, April 5, 2007

Hola friend,

Unconscious beliefs from our childhood are slippery little fellows.   They can dictate the decisions we make, our feelings about ourselves, and how we perceive the world.

It appears that our Spirit draws to us the people who will mirror our unconscious beliefs.  These beliefs may have been formed for protection.  By becoming conscious of the pattern, we than can reconnect with our true essence...Spirit.

During this holiday season of renewal, may you have many opportunities to acknowledge that you are an expression of Spirit and that all is well, no matter how life appears to your ego.

I am Connected,  WEEK 55, March 29, 2007

Hola friend,

Last week, I was overwhelmed with stress and this week I have such gratitude for each person in my life.  Unexpectedly twelve days ago my mother, who has dementia, moved in with Aaik and me.

I feel so blessed with the support I am receiving from my friends.  Because of their unconditional love, this week has gone much smoother.  And, I am grateful to my family who has offered me the opportunity to heal an unconscious belief.

Inspired Action:  When you are in a challenging situation, are you willing to receive or ask for support from others?  Could a repetitive, difficult issue be asking you to go within and inquire about a belief that is seeking your attention?

I am Connected,  WEEK 54, March 22, 2007

Hola friend,

Given the right environment, it is amazing watching a seed become a stunning flower, delicious fruit or vegetable.

In a challenging meeting last week, I was triggered into an old, familiar behavior.  Afterwards, my ego judged all those involved in the meeting as immature.  I felt angry and scared, as I listened to my ego's critique of everyone's behavior.  Then, I paused and asked:  What purpose was served?

Inspired Action Step:  Could challenging situations provide the right environment for us to embrace our True Nature?  Or, do we hold onto the self mirrored by our conditioned and sensitive ego?

I am Connected,  WEEK 53, March 15, 2007

Hola friend,

Thank you for accepting my gift of a free consult, it has been a joy connecting with you by phone.  As I walk through my garden, it has been thrilling to see new growth poking through the earth.  What appeared dead this winter has been reborn.

Is there an aspect of you ready to be seen, heard, known and loved for who you truly are?  I nurture these parts of myself the same way I cultivate my garden with loving care and attention.

Inspired Action Step:  Could the spiritual purpose of relationship be an invitation to you to reclaim aspects of yourself that you have disowned?  Are you willing to open your heart and call home these lost parts of yourself?

I am Connected,  WEEK 52, March 8, 2007

Hola friend,

Since we are Spiritual beings having a human experience, I believe, we are invited to feel our feelings and heal the victim aspect of ourselves.  In doing so, we connect with our Inner Authority and live joyfully in the present moment.

This week is my first year anniversary of writing this e-zine.  It has been an incredible journey sharing my thoughts with you each week.  To celebrate, I am offering a complimentary 35 minute consult to my subscribers.

Inspired Action Step:  I am available to coach you in joyfully living in the moment.  You may contact me at 610-807-9405 or email me at Zulma@InnerAuthorityMIndfulness.com to schedule your free session.

I am Connected,  WEEK 51, February 28, 2007

Hola friend,

How was it to observe and invite your ego into the present moment, feel your feelings, and get clarity on what you want?  By doing this process, I believe, our ego begins to feel safe.

My husband and I had a misunderstanding.  When alone, I fully felt my victimization and blamed and judged him for about one minute.  Then, I connected with my Inner Authority realized that all is well, as I asked myself what I truly wanted.

Inspired Action Step:  Are you willing to experience your humanness by allowing your feelings to flow knowing that you are bigger than them?  Is it possible that through each experience your spirit is inviting you to love yourself unconditionally?

I am Connected,  WEEK 50, February 22, 2007

Hola friend,

Is it truly possible for us to accept and forgive EVERYTHING?  It appears to be such a tall order with what is happening within and around us.  Yet, if we believe that we are Spiritual beings having a human experience...do we then create with a spiritual purpose in mind?

My ego, which wants to protect me, judges most things as good or bad, right or wrong.  It feels the most safe when it is in charge and logical.  My ego's fears tend to keeps me trap in the past or future.

Inspired Action Step:  What if our ego does the above process in order to invite us to be clear on what we want in our lives?  Are you willing to be the observer when you are aware of your ego and ask yourself what you truly want?

I am Connected,  WEEK 49, February 15, 2007

Hola friend,

While writing, the first snow of the season is gently covering the street and grass.  Because of this beauty, I am instantly connected to Spirit.  Nature always invites me to listen to my Inner Authority.

Have you been listening to the call of your destiny?  Are you imaging with a childlike, playful, curiosity?  I wonder if our destiny is to fully embrace the belief that we are Divine creators?

Inspired Action Step:   If we embody the above belief, do we automatically live in the moment, align with Spirit, and know that all is well?  Are we then able to accept and forgive everything?

I am Connected,  WEEK 48, February 8, 2007

Hola friend,

I am getting a sense that our destiny involves taking an inward journey toward clarity on what provides us the most joy.  Then, we are led to express our destiny by serving the world without losing or running away from ourselves.

Often I lose myself and pull away from my Inner Authority's wisdom, when I serve others.  Could it be that another person's needs or their perception of me becomes what is most important?

Inspired Action Step:  How can you express your divinely inspired destiny without running away or losing yourself in the process?

I am Connected,  WEEK 47, February 1, 2007

Hola friend,

I began to wonder about my destiny with the passing of my brother-in-law and my mother turning seventy.  Throughout the years, my search for purpose offered me the opportunity to work and succeed in many different areas of employment.

Yet, none of my careers satisfied my need for fulfillment.  I have taken many outward journeys toward my purpose and eventually hit a dead end.  Recently, I decided to take an inward journey instead.

Inspired Action Step:  When I connect with my heart and align with the present moment, I feel bliss.  Perhaps this is my destiny!  Are you willing to explore and write down what provides your life with deep meaning?

I am Connected,  WEEK 45, January 18, 2007

Hola friend,

How was it to listen to your ego's fears and ask for support from friends?  When I ask for support and listen to my feelings, I feel empowered.  This allows me to become the chooser of my experiences.

I experience freedom, spaciousness and joy, when I am the chooser.    I love entering each moment with curiosity.  Then, I ask myself which choice feeds my soul.

Inspired Action Step:  When you feel something deeply, do you go into an automatic, unconscious response?  Does the response feed your soul, or is it a familiar pattern from your past?  Just notice with a loving heart.

I am Connected,  WEEK 44, January 11, 2007

Hola friend,

How was it to think BIG and write down your intentions for 2007?  After I did this, I began to have a power struggle with my emotions.  My ego became scared of the new ideas and wanted me to continue with the status quo.

I embraced my ego and talked about the benefits and how our lives would be improved by attaining the intentions.  I used all my senses as I imagined our enriched life.  Then, I asked for support from my husband and close friends.

Inspired Action Step:  Are you willing to listen to your ego's fear of change?  When could you embrace your ego and together view the movie of your improved life?  Which friends would be happy to support you in attaining your 2007 intentions?

Feliz Ano Nuevo!  Are you ready to embrace the flow of love and spiritual connection that is always around you and within you in this brand new year?  Have you made any New Year's resolutions?

If I make resolutions from what I "should" do, I feel guilty when I fail to attain my goals.  However, if I set clear intentions for things that I passionately desire, then I feel the entire Universe supporting me in attaining them.

Inspired Action Step:  Are you willing to write down your intentions or create a collage regarding your passion about wellness, wealth, relationships, etc?  Think Big...what do you deeply desire in these areas...open your heart to all the good your Inner Authority is ready to offer you?

I am Connected,  WEEK 42, December 28, 2006

Hola friend,

Here we are three days before another brand new year!  How do we build our consciousness muscles in embracing the belief that Spirit loves us unconditionally?

When challenges appeared during this holiday season, I began to wonder if my Inner Authority was inviting me to pay attention to my deepest desire.

Inspired Action Step:   As we approach 2007, can we build our muscles by inviting our hearts to embrace the flow of love and spiritual connection that is around and within us---twenty-four seven?

I am Connected,  WEEK 41, December 21, 2006

Hola friend,

I read on a child's tee shirt:  Santa, Let Me Explain.  At first, I laughed, then I realized that I say the same thing:  Spirit, Let Me Explain.  My inner critic judges me unmercifully because it fears Spirit's judgment.

This past month, my inner critic felt out of control because I consciously chose what activities provided me the most joy, rather than scurrying on automatic.

Inspired Action Step:  My adult believes that Spirit requires no explanation from us.  Are you willingly to be open to the possibility that Spirit loves us unconditionally and invites us to align with our divinity in order to experience joy?

Although, I do not know many of you, I will be holding you in my heart this holiday.  As you celebrate, may you experience unconditional love and inner peace.

I am Connected,  WEEK 40, December 14, 2006

Hola friend,

(Thank you for your feedback on the values chart.  I am happy that it assists you in: creating your day and attaining clarity in making decisions.)

It is twelve days before Christmas and I have not put up a tree or decorated the house.  I have been sorting out all month how I want to:  participate this holiday season and celebrate our first-year wedding anniversary on December 25th.

By using the values chart, I realized that the "Xmas stuff" I have done for years does not resonate with me this year, because I am preparing for my own "rebirth."  My focus is on aligning with my Source and giving birth to my ability to love from the depths of my soul.

Inspired Action Step:  How could the Values Chart assist you in attaining clarity on your rebirth process during this sacred time of the year?

I am Connected,  WEEK 39, December 7, 2006

Hola friend,

My commitment to take action based on my values empowers me to be congruent with what I think, say and do.  I am inspired to move forward by incorporating what provides my life meaning.

As I align with my values, I experience less internal conflict when I say no to others.  Because of my clarity, I attract to my life what is most important to me.   Each morning, I complete my values chart to guide my decision-making process.

Inspired Action Step:  Are you willingly to utilize the values chart for a week and email me with your insights?  How could using this chart provide you with a peaceful, meaningful holiday season?  Click here for a Values Chart (PDF).

I am Connected,  WEEK 38, November 30, 2006

Hola friend,

As I connect with Spirit, I begin my day with a vision.  This is an inward journey where I write down what I want to create throughout the day.  I specifically write down and imagine what results and contacts would give me the most joy.

Throughout the day, my focus is on my vision.  In doing so, I am sending out a clear intention of what I want to manifest.  If I begin to feel discomfort, it is a signal that I have taken an outward journey that is incongruent with my values.

Inspired Action Step:  How would others benefit from our daily commitment to an inward journey?  Who and what would we attract with our clear intentions?

I am Connected,  WEEK 37, November 23, 2006

Hola friend,

When IAM Connected to my spiritual source, I lose myself in the moment, feel incredible joy and see clearly all the good that surrounds me.  My point of attraction is the Angel of Joy---an inward journey toward what I value.

In contrast, we all can  relate to the interesting drama of  the Demon of  Suffering, which is an outward journey towards what others value.  In each journey our desire is connection.

Inspired Action Step:  If joy is the natural state of your True Nature, how can you consciously move inward when you find yourself taking an outward journey this holiday season?

The power is you and the moment is now,   Zulma

P.S.  I am grateful for you in sharing your insights with me as you read this weekly e-zine.  Happy Thanksgiving!

I am Connected,  WEEK 36, November 16, 2006

Hola friend,

When I AM Connected to my spiritual source, I can easily offer others and myself unconditional love.  Hence, when I am challenged in loving others and myself, it is a clue that I have disconnected from Spirit.

When I am critical, blaming, or fearful, I notice that I move away from my True Nature.  By recognizing my emotional discomfort, I can then choose to reconnect with my True Self, which is loving, accepting and allowing.

Inspired Action Step:  Preparing for the holidays can be stressful.  Would you be willingly to listen to your emotional discomfort and reconnect to Spirit, rather than making decisions based on obligation or fear?

I am Connected,  WEEK 35, November 9, 2006

Hola friend,

I am noticing that the more willing I am to be compassionate and loving toward myself ~ especially when I make mistakes ~ the easier it is for me to offer unconditional love and authentic compassion to others.

In the past, no matter how hard I tried, I could not genuinely give to others what I was challenged in giving myself.  I resigned exhausted and resentful from my service-oriented positions, because I kept trying to give to others what I desperately wanted.

Inspired Action Step:  How could unconditionally loving ourselves affect our health, career, and our well-being?  What practical application could you implement to jump-start your self-love journey?

I am Connected,  WEEK 34, November 2, 2006

Hola friend,

I had the perception that it was easier for me to be truly compassionate with another's pain rather than my own.  I used to question if I was worthy of being loved.

Then, I had an epiphany.  I believe that Spirit is love and that Spirit created me.  Therefore, I am love!  By embodying this new belief, I aligned with Spirit and began attracting all the good that I had always longed for in my life.

Inspired Action Step:  What if we offered to ourselves the love and compassion that Spirit and our close friends provide us?  How could this radical act affect the quality of love and compassion we offer to others?

I've noticed that when I stop and listen to my fear, it has wonderful information to share with me that moves me toward my well-being.  I often wonder why I wait so long to embrace my fear, when I receive so many gifts from it.

A special gift that I receive each time I feel and listen to my fear is that I am moved toward loving myself more deeply.  I feel compassion with the part of me that is fearful.

Hola friend,

I move toward hope, when I make it my top priority to acknowledge and feel my feelings of fear or anger.  These emotions indicate that I am experiencing internal conflict.

An internal conflict between my soul, directing me toward well-being, and my ego, fearing the lost of love from others.  When I fail to address this conflict, it is challenging for me to love myself and be in present time.

Was there a pattern in your repetitive thoughts, and what triggered them?  Once I see the pattern, then I can embrace the part of me that automatically shouts out the "negative" messages.

By asking and providing that part of me with what she wants, I feel empowered by moving away from my fear-based thoughts to those thoughts that support my well-being.

Aaik's bumper sticker reads:  You don't have to believe everything you think.  At first glance I was puzzled by this message.  Now, each time I read it, I align with my Inner Authority and I place all my attention on thoughts that truly support me.

When I become aware of thoughts that do not support my vision, I gently feel the feelings beneath the thought.  Then, I re-focus on my vision and think thoughts that support me in moving closer to joy.

I feel as if the part of me that knows how to love by allowing has resurrected.  When I was a child, it was my perception that I had to push that part aside in order to feel safe in my environment.

I am noticing that I am more able to focus on solutions rather than on problems when I am in a state of allowing.  Also, I feel empowered as I connect with my Inner Authority for answers rather than deferring to an outside source.

I grew up in a family and religious system, which believed that love was synonymous with control.  It has been an adventure for me to change this core belief.

My journey has been one of pausing and checking in with myself to see if I am expressing love from:  a place of allowing differences or wanting to control another's behavior.

I find it fascinating that MY truth continues to change as I change and that MY truth is different from others.  Sometimes, it is challenging for me to allow others to have a truth different than mine.

Recently, I read an idea in a novel that resonated deeply within me.   Our desire to control and our desire to surrender cause us internal conflict.

Inspired Action Step:  What do we gain by trying to control another's behavior?  Can we experience freedom, if we surrender to our own truth and allow others to have their truth even when it is different from our own?  Write down your discoveries.

Our wedding reception is in only three days!  I decided to plan our celebration by listening to my soul rather than only with my head.  In doing so, I stepped out of my comfort zone and quickly encountered my terrorized false-self demanding that I maintain the status quo.

These past six months have been an incredible journey of allowing my soul to guide me in every aspect of the reception.  However, I noticed that my ego has been challenged along the way because it loves the familiar.

I am Connected,  WEEK 23 August 17, 2006

Hola friend,

I give myself permission to see and heal my shadow, by not taking it personally when I am triggered by another.  Therefore, I am given the opportunity to connect with my True Nature.

Could it be that those we love do us a favor by revealing our false self?  If so, could we embrace the moment of the trigger and shed another layer of our false ego by  taking a deep breath and aligning with our Inner Authority?

Inspired Action Step:  What could you do when your buttons are pushed by someone?  What steps could you take to stay in the present moment, where your power lies, and connect with your Authentic Self?

I am Connected,  WEEK 22 August 10, 2006

Hola friend,

Was it empowering or challenging to take responsibility for your feelings, thoughts and actions last week?  Taking responsibility takes practice and paves neurological pathways in our brain toward consciousness and away from drama.

Relationship Coach David Steele developed a Communication Map.  He states that when we are triggered by someone's behavior, it is OUR issue and an opportunity for us to address an unmet need/desire.

Inspired Action Step:  What if those who love us push our buttons for us to heal our shadow and see our True Nature?  How would seeing and healing our shadow assist us?

I am Connected,  WEEK 21 August 3, 2006

Hola friend,

How was it to take responsibility for the discrepancies between your desires and the external world?  At times it was challenging for me!  Yet, I felt empowered and authentic when I took the time to process my internal conflict.

For instance, I was angry was my husband's behavior.  My first response was to blame him for triggering my own buried anger.  However, when I paused, breathed, and felt my anger, I became aware of an unmet desire.

Inspired Action Step:  Can taking responsibility for our feelings, thoughts and actions empower, heal and align us with our Inner Authority?  This week, are you willing to take responsibility for your feelings, thoughts and actions when you are triggered?

I am Connected,  WEEK 20 July 27, 2006

Hola friend,

Most of last week, I felt empowered partnering with my inner magician and creating my intended results.  Other times, it was challenging to take responsibility when my desired outcome was not manifested.

I am realizing that what is taking place outside of me is almost always a reflection of what is going on inside of me.  If I feel discord with an issue in the external world, gentleness is the key to comfort the internal parts of me experiencing conflict.

Inspired Action Step:  How can our external world more reflect our desires?  We could breathe, PAUSE, review the discrepancies between our desires and the external world--and begin to take responsibility for the discrepancies.

I am Connected,  WEEK 19 July 20, 2006

Hola friend,

How many times last week were you aware of how your attitude affected an outcome?  Could it be that we create our reality and that there are no victims or villains?  Yet, this idea is so contrary to how most of us unconsciously operate.

Let's imagine that we embody an inner magician, who manifests every thought we think...every time.  What if we created a daily practice of thinking thoughts of things we truly wanted, knowing that our inner magician will provide it for us.

Inspired Action Step:  How could you consciously create and partner with your inner magician?  Perhaps, before each task, you could PAUSE, connect with your inner magician and focus your thoughts on your intended results.

I am Connected,  WEEK 18 July 12, 2006

Hola friend,

A positive shift occurs, when we focus our attention on the loving comments of our benevolent being rather than our inner critic.  Our attitudes about the world and ourselves soften; we more easily experience our own True Nature and that of others.

We have all heard the saying:  What you believe, you can achieve.   Therefore, imagine your heart-felt desire before each interaction--attitude always precedes outcome

Inspired Action Step:  Before each interaction, pause...connect with Spirit and imagine your intended outcome...notice your energy level and attitude.  Afterwards, become aware of how your attitude affected the results.

I am Connected,  WEEK 17 July 5, 2006

Hola friend,

I trust you had an easier time, taking 5-10 minute breaks every two hours, than I did.  It was a challenging week for me.  Yet, when I accepted the discomfort of feeling unworthy, I freed myself up to breathe easier and be in the moment--where I AM Connected to Spirit.

Imagine that behind our inner critic is a benevolent being, who loves us unconditionally and is eager to support us on our quest for meaning.

Action Step:  Do we dare look behind our inner critic and discover our benevolent being?  Are we willing to accept it's unconditional love and approval?

I am Connected,  WEEK 16 June 29, 2006

Hola friend,

Just being is challenging for me.  I believe I came out of the womb on a treadmill!  It is as if my worthiness comes from doing for others.  Yet, I experience powerful transformation every time I allow myself to be, which aligns me with Spirit.

How can we continue to be this week?  Would you be willing to take a 5 to 10 minute break every two hours to:  breathe, acknowledge what is going well, look out a window, smile at a stranger, receive a hug, or take a walk?

Action Step:  Write down what you will do to reconnect with your life force during your breaks?  How can you incorporate your ideas into each day with ease?

I am Connected,  WEEK 15 June 22, 2006

Hola friend,

I love playing with ideas, daydreaming, and having them take form.  However, if I focus on the gap of where I am right now and where I want to be, I attract more of what I have right now.

I recently got married, and we are planning a reception.  I met with friends to organize the party.  Prior to our meeting, I envisioned my desires.  This set the stage for a joyful and productive time where we attained clarity for our next steps.

Action Step:  It is all about BEING!  Think of what you want and imagine the joy of already having it.  If you find yourself focused on the gap consciously bring your attention back to your dream.

I am Connected,  WEEK 14, June 15, 2006

Hola friend,

We all get "off tract" at times in our lives.  Rather than judging ourselves, it is best to make peace with where we are in the moment, focus our attention on what we want, and take a step toward our desire.

For instance, if our goal is health, we make peace with our current health, keep our focus on total health and take a step in that direction.  Where we place our attention is what we receive in our life experience.  So, when we notice that we are focusing on illness, we gently bring our attention back to health and state:  The health that I am seeking is seeking me!

Action Step:  The same is true for any goal:  a loving relationship, wealth, ideal weight, or a new career.  Write down in your journal:  1.  a goal,   2.  your current situation,  3.  an action you will take toward the desire.  During the week, pay attention to what you attract into your life regarding your goal.

I am Connected,  WEEK 13, June 8, 2006

Hola friend,

What does a mindful CEO of a corporation do when there is a challenge within her company?  She feels her feelings and asks what this contrast is inviting her to do differently.  She discusses with her advisors and finds a solution.

Because she is human, she may forget to be mindful.  She may feel that the challenge is so big that she focuses  solely on the contrast, and it begins to affect her entire life.  She becomes overwhelmed and blames her subordinates.  How can she get back on tract in connecting with her Inner Authority?

Action Step:  The next time you get "off tract" and forget that the Universe wants to support you:  breathe mindfully, be compassionate, feel your feelings, ask for support, and brainstorm options, in order to reconnect --in the moment-- with yourself and Spirit.

I am Connected,  WEEK 12, June 1, 2006

Hola friend,

Isn't empowering to notice your emotions before you act?  Many times we act from autopilot and then judge ourselves harshly for the decisions we make.  The first step in being the CEO of our life is to act consciously.

The second step is to recognize that are emotions indicate the presence of a deep longing. The last step is to decide how we can validate the yearning that is being shown?   After which, an action could be to write, to talk, to rest, to meditate, to walk, or to dance.

Action Step:  Explore the different actions you can take when you recognize a deep yearning.  Write in your journal how you can begin to incorporate these steps as you eagerly accept the position of CEO!

I am Connected,  WEEK 11, May 25, 2006

Hola friend,

As spiritual beings having human experiences, we swing from consciousness to unconsciousness.  What steps can we take to further develop our muscles of consciousness to experience a more consistent empowered state of being?

When I feel angry with someone and respond unconsciously: I may blame, fester, or punish.  If  I AM ConnectedI notice my anger and ask what I want in that relationship?  "I want appreciation and respect."  Then, I list what I appreciate and respect in myself, followed by a list of what I appreciate in the other person.

Action Step:  Set an intention that you are willing to notice your emotions before you act.  Then turn your attention to the desire the feeling is offering you.  What step is next?

I am Connected,  WEEK 10, May 18, 2006

How was for you to notice when you went in and out of autopilot this week?  Our minds are overwhelmed with information from the world and from our inner judge.  It is no wonder we cope by living unconsciously.

If our goal is to be the Designer of our Destiny, we must build our "muscles of consciousness" moment by moment, breath by breath.  And, we must acknowledge that our emotions are signals that a desire is on the horizon.

Action Step:  This week develop your "muscles of consciousness" by honoring your feelings.  What feels better, living your life on autopilot or consciously breathing and tuning into the desire that the feeling has awakened in you?

I am Connected,  WEEK 9, May 11, 2006

How do we consciously create the reality we want, moment-by-moment, breath-by-breath?  Our current situation often triggers emotions from a past experience.  If we respond unconsciously, we allow the past to dictate our present experience.

When I AM Connected, I notice my emotion, breathe deeply and focus on the longing that this feeling has awaken in me.  This breaks the cycle of responding unconsciously.  By taking this action, I empower myself and create my reality.

Action Step:  When driving a familiar daily route, notice if you get to your destination on autopilot?  Decide that you will take a different route to the same destination.  How important was it to pay attention (be conscious) while you drove?  What happened when your mind wondered, were you unconsciously taking the same familiar route?

I am Connected,  WEEK 8, May 4, 2006

The norm, some of us grew up with, was to focus on challenges, justify our lives and worry about others.  Many times this behavior kept us stuck in fear.  When I AM Connected with my Inner Authority, I notice my fear and ask what desire is being amplified, then I take a step toward the goal.

Our emotions are wonderful signals that trigger us into automatic pilot.  As we become conscious, we acknowledge that we are bigger than our emotions.  Therefore, we focus on what we want and take a step toward our desire.  We create our reality moment-by-moment, breath-by-breath.

Action Step:  Breathe...what is your most powerful feeling right now and what desire is ready to be born from that feeling?  Breathe, ask the questions again, see yourself stronger than the feeling and connect with your desire.  Write down a step that you are willing to take toward your goal.

I am Connected,  WEEK 7, April 27, 2006

There is freedom in placing our focus on gratitude and on our breath, especially during challenging times.  Sometimes when our entire attention is on the problem, we begin to complain, blame, justify and a solution is elusive.  When I AM Connected with my Inner Authority through appreciation and my breath, solutions come effortlessly.

Another Fill Myself Strategy is to connect with friends who listen attentively from their hearts, see me bigger than the problem and ask me what I want as a result of this issue.  The focus is placed on my desire rather than the challenge!

Action Step:  Breathe... remember when someone shared a problem with you.  How did you respond?  Were you solution-focused or did you justify, notice without judgment.  Now, breathe, imagine the same situation, use the strategy above and focus more on the desire rather than the challenge.  Write down your discoveries.

I am Connected,  WEEK 6, April 20, 2006

How close was your actual holiday to what you had imagined?  Are you noticing the power of taking a few minutes to imagine what you want and then allowing yourself to receive it?

How many Fill Yourself Strategies did you write down?  One of my strategies is to consciously breathe deeply and become grateful.  There is power in consciously breathing deeply, we are grounded in the moment and every cell of our body gets nourished.  Appreciation places our focus on what is working in our lives.

Action Step:  Breathe ... remember a past event that distressed you. Now consciously breathe deeply...feel your entire being supported by Spirit.  What can you be grateful for?  Do the above with your eyes closed.    Write down your discoveries in your journal.

 I am Connected,  WEEK 5, April 13, 2006

Did you discover a belief that prevented you from attaining a specific desire?  It is such a revelation for me to uncover a subconscious belief, which previously sabotaged my efforts of living my dream.  Many times the belief was installed at an early age as a defense to protect me.

They say in the investment world to always pay yourself first before your expenses, in the I AM Connected world it is best to "fill yourself first" before we give to others.  What experiences nurture you, give you joy and connect you with your Inner Authority?

Action Step:  Breathe deeply...imagine with all your senses how you want to participate in this upcoming holiday of renewal?  It is a new beginning, what are you willing to do to take care of you?  Breathe...ask the questions again...with your eyes closed.  Write down in your journal your Fill Yourself First strategy.

I am Connected,  WEEK 4, April 6, 2006

How was it to take time each day to imagine your manifested dream?  It is a two-step process.  We ask ourselves what we want and imagine it with our entire being.  Then, which can be challenging, we allow it to come to us.  We feel worthy and trust that Spirit is answering our request.

When I AM Connected with my Inner Authority, I place myself in my dream and feel it with all my senses.  I find that I attract more thoughts and ideas to take the necessary steps to make my desire a reality.  Magically, the outcome is even better than what I initially imagined.

Action Step:  Breathe deeply...place yourself totally in your dream.  What can you do to fully allow your desire to manifest?  Is there an subconscious belief that prevents you from attaining your dream?Breathe...ask the questions again...with your eyes closed.  Write down your discoveries.

I am Connected,  WEEK 3, March 30, 2006

What did you become aware of when you nurtured yourself last week?  When I AM Connected with my Inner Authority and mindfully nourish myself, life becomes so much easier.

As I see the spring flowers begin to bloom...I imagine putting my winter clothes away and happily playing in my garden.  I feel a burst of joy!  There is power in imagining.  We transcend our physical reality and align with Spirit.  Then, we experience the realm of limitless possibilities.

Action Step:  Breathe deeply...imagine something you want.  Sense that you have manifested your desire.  How does your body-mind-Spirit respond? Again, imagine with your eyes closed.  Write down with great detail your dream in your journal.  Each day take a few minutes to imagine your desire already fulfilled.

I am Connected,  WEEK 2, March 23, 2006

The earth is waking up after a long winter's sleep; is it inviting us to wake up as well?  Joy is the ticket to our Awakening, to our alignment with our Inner Authority.  Have you noticed how you radiate from the inside out when you are feeling joy? Right now, smile and think of someone you love.  Was there a shift in your energy?

I trust you wrote down in your journal those things that bring you joy.  There is power in writing things down.  First, we attain clarity and focus.  Second, we are empowered by setting clear intentions as we move closer to our vision.

Action Step:  Breathe deeply...you are awakening from a restful winter's sleep...what are you ready to create?   How will you incorporate joy into each day?   Breathe...image...with your eyes closed.  Write down in your journal how you will nurture yourself throughout this week.

I am Connected,  WEEK 1, March 16, 2006

What does "the power is you and the moment is now" mean?  It is about our longing to partner with our Inner Authority ~our Spirit~ and create an authentic and meaningful life.  Each moment is an opportunity to claim our star role as designer of our destiny.  As designers, we are mindful of what brings us joy.  We have clarity on our vision and take inspired action toward our aspirations.

When  I AM Connected, to Spirit I feel empowered and in the flow of life!  I effortlessly attract supportive relationships, wealth, health and a rewarding career through my alignment with my Inner Authority.

My intention with the I AM Connected e-zine is to share with you how to connect or reconnect with your Inner Authority.  Each week,  I will  be inviting you to take an action step toward reclaiming your star role as designer of your destiny.

Action Step:  Breathe deeply...you are the designer of your life...what gives you the most joy?  Remembering that your Inner Authority resides in you and is your essence...ask the question again...with your eyes closed.  Write down your thoughts in your journal and ponder the question and the answer until we meet again next week.
